We are always grateful for the support of the members of Rang De’s community. Nothing brought this home like the 2nd edition of the Run to Empower. Around 200 people turned up to participate in the 3 km run, held on a Sunday morning on 18 November, at the Indian Institute of Management Campus in Bengaluru.
The participants this year included a large number of children, who accompanied their parents and families on the run. Some of the most enthusiastic runners were also the employees of our Corporate Sponsors for the event – Optum India, Sasken and 29K Investment Advisers Private Limited.
In the past, we have held similar events to mobilise support for our community members. Hundreds of people had turned up to participate in the first edition of the Run to Empower held last year. We were expecting a similar turn out this year, and we weren’t disappointed.
The aim of the Run to Empower was to raise funds for Rang De’s borrowers in rural India while promoting the message about fitness.
We would like to thank the folks at Unibic for the support they provided. We would also like to thank all the participants and sponsors for making the Run to Empower possible. See you next year.
