Two days of exhilarating experience at On Mobile came to an end at 5.00 pm on Friday. There was something different about On Mobile. The genuine interest and warmth with which people at On mobile interacted with us was totally unexpected. Here are the highlights of the two days at On Mobile.

Winner of the micro credit quiz Ms.Uma receives a T-Shirt from Ms.Smita, Co-founder of Rang De.

Day 1: The day began with a lull at the stall. We were strategically positioned at the Cafeteria — the one place that every employee is bound to visit during the day. A couple of guys came forward to take the punch at the ‘Knock out Corner, a few cast a fleeing glance and walked towards a game of table tennis.

Smita makes a social investment for an On Mobile employee. On spot investments have proven to be more effective than asking people to log in at RangDe.Org later.

What followed thereafter was not something that either I or Archana imagined. People walked towards our stall and when we tried to explain about Rang De — they already knew it all and had actually come there to make a social investment. People bought gift vouchers which we helped them redeem right there, some even used their credit card and the quality of conversation was something we had never experienced before.

Mr. Ram, Co founder of Rang De gives a cap and a T-shirt to the runner up of the Quiz Competition.

While Archana and I managed the stall, Ram had the rare privilege of meeting the top people at On Mobile and even joining them for lunch.

Day 2: The day started with nostalgic feelings from the previous day. Again the ‘cafeteria’ was the location. People did show interest in the concept, some took on the quiz and won prizes too. Towards the end of the day, there was a more positive response. Some bought gift vouchers and some made investments too.

Someone who needs special mention here is Bakul, the HR who Archana was interacting with. She had done a great job of sending out e-mailers etc. Bakul was also kind enough to check with us constantly on how things were going. When at the end of the two days, Bakul actually came up to us and said that we need to plan something that would sustain the two day effort, we were completely floored. Hats off to you Bakul!

A Big thank you to Sourabh and Supriya, two of our social investors who also work at On Mobile and helped us with the stall.

All in all, On Mobile was an experience the Rang De team will cherish for a long time.
