Our trip to Gudalur with Rang De to meet the ‘Just Change’ team was exciting and a great learning experience. I especially enjoyed the informative discussion on a number of concepts like collaborative capitalism, community insurance and other fair and inclusive capitalist solutions that improve the lives of millions of underprivileged.

We also learnt how a farmer producer company dealing in honey, coffee and tea is supporting the livelihood of over 2000 tribals. We were also given a taste of the various flavours of coffee and tea, including white tea which I never knew existed!

The icing on the cake was our refreshing journey through the forested Bandipur and Madumalai national parks. We were lucky to spot a few wild elephants, Deers, Neel Gai and a number of bird varieties on our way.

Satender is a Rang De social investor who has supported our work for close to 4 years now. We were honoured to have him join us on this field trip to Gudalur. If you are a social investor with Rang De and would like to go on a field trip, please write to empathy@rangde.org
