If you have a passion for art and design and want to help craftsmen to adapt, learn and thrive, to revive techniques, to produce competitive products, to bridge the gap to new markets, or to sustain income producing assets for themselves, their families and community at large, here is your chance!
At Rang De, one of our newest clan of borrowers to join the bandwagon are the artisans with rich craft legacies from Rajasthan. Each artisan needs about Rs. 50,000 repayable in 12 months. To make the investment more interesting for you, we have upped the rate of return interest to 6% per annum, without increasing the cost to the borrower!
Earn more in less time without guilt-good proposition, huh?
Our partner organization has graciously reduced their take to 2.5% flat! So our borrowers still pay 8.5% flat! Everyone’s been dealt a winning hand!
We also have for the first time ever, borrowers from Karnataka on Rang De and an exciting partnership with an organization in Tamilnadu who will help us reach out to farmers who need loans. Watch this space for more on them!
And here is a scoop (We love sharing these with you!) On one of our recent visits to a potential partner, which took us to a garment factory, we interacted with 30 women workers from rural Tamilnadu. These women were actually stitching shirts for the British Home Store where the cost of each of these shirts is nothing less than $25.
How cool is that!
