Till date, members of the Rang De team and Rang De Chapters have been attending events across the world to promote Rang De and low cost microcredit. This time we are doing something different.We at Rang De are having our first fund raising event. It all started when we thought of hosting various events and a music concerted was suggested. As Smita attended a concert with talented musicians from the popular and upcoming band Oxygen, which captured the audience with their unique blends of music genres, a brilliant idea was born to launch and conduct a concert in association with the stars from Oxygen.

Rang De is excited about the concert and the count-down has begun, with just around a week and a half for the show. The concert is on 13 March 2010 (6:00 pm) at Shivagami Pettachi Hall, Alwarpet, Chennai. Interestingly, Rs 100 from the sale of each ticket will be set aside as a social investment (in the name of the buyer) on RangDe.Org so the entire audience will get a chance to experience Rang De and also feast on some quality music.

The concert will also be a platform to spread the word about microcredit and Rang De and reach out to a wider audience through music. Preparations are now on in full swing with sponsorships on the offer and heightened back end operations.
